John is the author and illustrator of many award-winning books. He began writing to solve a problem. One of his twins didn't want to read. They were much more interested in things they got to take part in, these things mostly had screens. So he set about creating books that were interactive and not just a passive experience. Trying to turn a book into more than a book. It seemed to work. His debut book 'I say OOH. You say AAH.' became an award-winning, worldwide hit. Encouraging reluctant readers to read, and avid readers to say 'underpants' loudly. He's made two more in the 'I say... You say...' series and a book that is actually really pants. He continues to make books that are more than a book. It's his sneaky plan to get kids to read. And once they start, hopefully they won't stop.
